Batman has arguably the best rogues gallery in all of comics. That includes some fierce female villains who are among his toughest foes.
Batman has some of the most famous villains in his rogues' gallery, which is better than almost any superhero in comic books. While he has plenty of male villains he battles like Joker and Bane, he also has more than enough female villains that make his life a living hell. More than one of these villains even developed a personal relationship with Batman.
Batman has been around for over 80 years, so there have been plenty of villains to cross his path, some more dangerous and memorable than others. With a massive gallery of evildoers, some manage to stand out above the rest of the ranks.
10 The Phantasm
Phantasm has a chance of moving up, but at the moment, she ranks lower because her most famous appearance came in the animated film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
That villain was Andrea Beaumont, a woman who fell in love with Bruce Wayne and almost made him consider giving up his role as Batman. She makes this list because she made her debut in comics in 2021 in Batman/Catwoman #1 by Tom King and Clay Mann.
9 Roxy Rocket
Roxy Rocket made her debut in Batman: The Animated Series, created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. She was a former stunt-double in Hollywood, but after losing her job, she went into a life of crime. Her entire goal was the thrill of the experience.
She finally made her way to DC Comics in 2006 and became a villain for Batman and Batgirl, and later Stephanie Brown. Still, it was Batman that she faced first. She also returned in 2013 in Batman: Black and White #1 by Chip Kidd and Michael Cho.
8 Nyssa Raatko
When thinking of Ra's al Ghul's daughter, most people immediately mention Talia. However, he has a second daughter that has been a thorn in Batman's side for years in Nyssa Raatko. She is Ra's daughter and is Talia's half-sister.
She was born in the 19th Century and used the Lazurus Pit to survive all this time, making her an enemy of Batman. She has served as the League of Assassins leader, and she even killed her own father in Death and the Maidens by Greg Rucka and Klaus Janson.
7 White Rabbit
There has been more than one White Rabbit in DC Comics, and this is the second. Jaina Hudson is a Batman enemy who often works with other villains to make the Caped Crusader's life hard. She made her debut in 2011 in Batman: The Dark Knight Vol. 2 #1 by David Finch and Paul Jenkins.
White Rabbit is the daughter of an American diplomat and a Bollywood actress. Jaina and her family moved to Gotham City where she met Bruce Wayne at a party. The two planned a date but never followed through before White Rabbit and Batman became enemies.
6 Lynx
Lynx is a female Batman villain who runs her own gang on the streets called the Ghost Dragons. She worked for the evil King Snake and was an enemy to Batman, Robin, and Batgirl. This Batman villain eventually died, and her replacement was just as bad when another member of the Ghost Dragons took the original's place after her death.
She is a master swordsman, is acrobatic, and is a master of weapons who once again is a thorn in the side of both Batman and Robin.
5 Harley Quinn
Harley Quinn is a Batman villain who got her start on Batman: The Animated Series before becoming a beloved character in DC Comics. While Harley started as Joker's sidekick, she became so much more over the years, from a member of the Suicide Squad to someone who gave Batman more problems than he might have expected.
She has become an antihero in recent years, but she has never turned her back on creating mischief to make Batman's life a living hell.
4 Lady Shiva
Lady Shiva is one of Batman's deadliest female villains, making her first appearance in Richard Dragon: Kung-Fu Fighter #5 by Dennis O'Neal and Ric Estrada. Her first appearance in Prime Earth was in Nightwing #0 in 2012.
Fans who watched the recent animated movie Batman: Soul of the Dragon met Shiva and Richard Dragon. A powerful warrior and assassin, Lady Shiva eventually gave up her child to Ra's al Ghul, and that child grew up to become Cassandra Cain, Orphan in the Bat-Family.
3 Poison Ivy
Poison Ivy is a female Batman villain that has been around for a very long time. Poison Ivy debuted in 1966's Batman #181 by Robert Kanigher and Sheldon Moldoff. Pamela Isley was betrayed and poisoned, gaining the power to control the green in the process as Poison Ivy.
She is also an interesting villain, as her goal is to protect nature itself. She has since become an anti-hero, mostly thanks to her romance with Harley Quinn, allowing her to find someone to share her life with.
2 Talia al Ghul
Talia al Ghul is Ra's al Ghul's daughter, and she holds an extraordinary place in Batman's life. She is not only one of Batman's most dangerous villains, but she was also, at one time, his greatest love.
Batman and Talia share a son in Damian Wayne. She finally fell to evil when her own sister Nyssa broke her down, and she rejected Batman and eventually paid to have Damian killed.
1 Catwoman
Catwoman has been Batman's greatest female villain throughout his entire career. She originally debuted in 1940, created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane. Catwoman remained one of Batman's longest-reigning villains through every iteration, including the classic TV show, two different movies, several animated appearances, and in DC Comics to this day.
She also holds the distinction of almost marrying Batman and remains both one of his oldest enemies and closest confidants.
