Professional wrestlers portray larger-than-life characters inside the ring, often being seen as heroes and villains in the eyes of the fans. However, a select few of them have been able to legitimately step into the superhero world over the years in Hollywood, being part of movies in this genre.

Wrestlers are perfect fits for this genre due to their looks, and that is something that has led to them getting a lot of opportunities. Whether it is portraying a hero, a villain, or someone else, it is often fun to see wrestlers pop up in these types of movies as it helps to grow their name value due to the popularity of them.
10 John Cena (Suicide Squad)
John Cena's role as Peacemaker is something that people will best associate with his own television show, which was a major opportunity for the 16-time World Champion. However, the character was originally shown in the movie "Suicide Squad," which is a unique concept for a superhero movie.
The reason for that is that it actually takes villainous characters and turns them into a team to be heroes for a one-off situation. It's one that Cena got a lot of praise for, and is one he is set to continue with moving forward.
9 Randy Savage (Spider-Man)
One of the most famous examples of a wrestler being in a superhero movie was Randy Savage's cameo in the original "Spider-Man" movie. He gets to play a wrestler/MMA star who takes on all challengers in money matches, which ultimately leads to him fighting Spider-Man at an early stage in his journey.

Savage's character is known as Bonesaw and became famous amongst wrestling fans. Savage isn't involved for long, but his performance is brilliant and he brings his over-the-top personality perfectly to the role.
8 Triple H (Blade)
Long before Marvel movies became the biggest blockbusters of the year Triple H ended up appearing in one of their movies as he took on a role in "Blade." The Game is someone who opted to put all his focus into the wrestling business, which led to him being in charge of the main roster creative, but he did make a few acting appearances.
This is arguably his most memorable as Triple H got to act alongside Wesley Snipes to showcase his qualities. He brought a lot of intensity which was perfect for this type of role, with the Game proving that he was more than capable as an actor.
7 Tyler Mane (X-Men)
Tyler Mane is often forgotten when fans talk about wrestlers who have become actors, but he has had a lot more success in the world of Hollywood than he did inside the ring. Mane did enjoy success in wrestling as well though, primarily working for WCW and All Japan Pro Wrestling.
When it comes to being involved in the superhero genre, Mane was part of the original "X-Men" movie. However, he played a villain, taking on the role of Sabertooth, although he was replaced after this one.
6 Kevin Nash (The Punisher)
Kevin Nash has enjoyed a lot of success in the world of acting over the years, being involved in some major franchises such as "John Wick" and "Magic Mike." However, long before those roles came his way the nWo star got the chance to be involved in "The Punisher," dipping his toes into the superhero genre.
Nash played an intimidating villain in this movie and even got to be involved in a fight scene with the lead actor. It was a role he excelled in due to his size and strength, making him the ideal foe.
5 The Rock (Black Adam)
Considering The Rock's look and personality it is very surprising that it took him so long to get involved in the superhero genre. However, he was extremely passionate about portraying "Black Adam" and that's exactly what happened, which he worked very hard to bring to fruition.

The movie didn't quite go the way he'd hoped, with that character now being put to one side as DC rebrands the movie side of things. However, fans were finally able to see The Rock in that role, which is something that certainly suited him.
4 Sheamus (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows)
Sheamus hasn't taken on many acting roles over the years, but his biggest saw him take on a role in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows." In this movie, he played Rocksteady, who was one of the henchmen which actually saw him be involved in some live-action animation as well.
Sheamus was strong in this role as being a physical presence that would seem threatening is something that he is built for after a career in professional wrestling.
3 Zeus (The Dark Knight)
Zeus wasn't a particularly memorable in-ring talent because he wasn't a natural professional wrestler. However, he did have a memorable acting career that saw him take on some huge roles over the years, and that included featuring in "The Dark Knight."
This is often considered to be the greatest superhero movie of all time, so it was certainly a big moment for him to be featured. However, he did only have a small cameo role, which a lot of people tend to forget.
2 Seth Rollins (Captain America 4: Brave New World)
Seth Rollins' superhero role has yet to make it to the cinema, but the former Shield star has already been spotted filming his part in the latest installment of the "Captain America" franchise. It's a big step for him in terms of acting and growing his own name value outside of being a wrestler.

It's a movie that is bound to be popular and getting to be involved in that will get him a lot of new exposure. Whether Rollins continues down this path or if this was a big opportunity he couldn't turn down remains to be seen, but it is going to get people talking about him.
1 Batista (Guardians Of The Galaxy)
When it comes to wrestlers being in superhero movies it is Batista that comes to mind for fans. He has not only featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he has been a crucial part of it as Drax The Destroyer. His main role is being involved in the "Guardians Of The Galaxy" trilogy, which is where he has shone brightest.
However, he has also popped up in several "Avengers" movies and even made a cameo in the most recent "Thor" film. While his time with Marvel is now up, Batista has left an incredible legacy behind when it comes to this genre.
